I awake this morning to a symphony of birds and, from our balcony, an iconic view of the Church of the Assumption on Lake Bled's island, Blejski Otok. We arrived uneventfully yesterday, and drove the short distance here toTito's Vila Bled. This hotel was Tito's summer residence, with it's beautiful gardens above the lake. No rest for the weary though, we hiked to two view points, Mala Osojnica and Osojrica, capturing the island and the castle high above the lake in the afternoon light.
